eKeys App - How to setup & send One Time Password / Duration Password feature

How to set up?

  1. Login to KAS App and activate your new lock. See ‘Getting Started Guide’ online for instructions to setup/activate the lock.
  2. Tap the ‘arrow’ on the lock cell when it is highlighted and in range [IMPORTANT]. This ensures the clock is set in the lock memory. Then tap “One Time Password” on the lock settings page.
  3. For the first time, you will need to “Sync” the app with the lock. Tap “Sync” on the top right on the “One Time Password” screen. This will commence an algorithm in the background that only your app and the lock know. Tap “Sync & Invalidate”, Tap “Ok”.
Note: If you do this Sync in the future. Note it will invalidate all previous pin codes. Only do the sync when required. The app will display a date when the next sync date is required. Each sync is required at least every 11 months.

How to send?

  1. Enter a user name, start date, duration type, duration and tap “Generate”. The pin code will generate and display on the screen.
  2. Tap “Send” to send the pin code as text to anyone. An action sheet will appear to deliver the pin code in any form you wish.
