Lock is beeping every time I unlock the door

This is the low battery alert tone. To stop this beeping sequence, do the following…

  1. Change the batteries to a high-quality alkaline AA battery (Low-quality batteries will deplete faster and the lock will potential give you a premature low battery alert tone)

Here is an example list of high-quality alkaline batteries (no endorsement assumed by KAS)

If Issue NOT resolved

Conduct a factory reset

  1. You may have to reset the lock to factory settings to remove this alert tone
  2. Hold the rear button (on the inside of the lock) for >3 seconds
  3. The lock will beep to signal it has been reset
  4. The programming code has defaulted back to 123123, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you revert this back to your personal programming code. All previous user codes and RFID cards will not have been deleted
  5. Enter the door in the usual way and see if the alert tone continues

Conduct a microcontroller reset

  1. Get a paperclip and press the red button on the outside handle undernearth the handle.
  2. Press and hold for 3 seconds
  3. The lock will beep, run the motor, and keypad will flash.

If the alarm is still continuing after all these steps. This is an electronics microcontroller fault. Please contact support@kas.com.au and submit a warranty claim.
